About Charleston Aqua Park
We're a family-run water adventure park on Johns Island, bringing something genuinely new to the Charleston area β America's first above-water ropes course, a floating obstacle course, and a cable wakeboarding system, all on our own private 40-acre lake.
Who runs Charleston Aqua Park?
Charleston Aqua Park is owned and operated by Jessica and Chris and their team at Trophy Lakes on Johns Island, South Carolina. The park opened as a floating obstacle course and has grown over multiple seasons to include America's first above-water ropes course with a zipline, a cable-pulled wakeboarding system, a summer day camp for ages 6β14, and dedicated birthday and corporate-event programs. Everything happens on our private 40-acre freshwater lake β no ocean access, no alligators, and no shared public beach. The park runs May through September each year and is staffed by a seasonal team of certified lifeguards and instructors.

Hi, we're Jessica and Chris.
We took over Charleston Aqua Park because we wanted Charleston families to have an outdoor place to actually wear kids out β something more active than a splash pad, more unique than a trampoline park, and on a real lake instead of a chlorinated pool.
Every summer we're here with the team. If your group has a special request, a sensory concern, a birthday surprise idea, or something didn't go the way you hoped β please reach out. Email goes straight to us and we read every one.
How we keep guests safe
Certified lifeguards
Every active session is supervised by a lifeguard on duty. Staff train at the start of season and again mid-summer.
Life jackets provided
Coast-Guard-approved PFDs are included in every ticket β aqua park, ropes course, and cable park.
Proficient swimmers only
All participants must be able to swim unassisted β this is the single biggest predictor of a safe session.
Private freshwater lake
40 acres on Johns Island, no public access, no alligators (freshwater & high daily activity keeps wildlife away).
